Guest curator: Bloesem
This week’s guest curator is Irene Hoofs, collector of all things beautiful, and editor of Bloesem, which she founded in December 2006. Leaving her hometown of Amsterdam for the first time in 1997, Irene enjoyed roaming the globe for a few years making stopovers in London, New York and Toronto. A graphic designer, she sold her work through Barneys NY and Selfridges. Today she lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with her husband Rik, and two sons, Lode and Kiet. From her home office overlooking a bamboo garden, she aspires to bring outside-the-mainstream daily finds to her readers, with a slight bias for Dutch design. Bloesem’s baby is named BloesemKids, and you can find her on Twitter @bloesemblog.
